Laboratoire Conscientiel

A space for research and exploration of consciousness

About

A rigorous, sober and progressive approach to inner observation.

The Conscientiel Laboratory grew out of a sustained and genuine practice of inner exploration, nourished by years of observation, experimentation, and confrontation with lived experience.

Origin

The Laboratory was born from several years of exploration conducted by Yannick Costechareyre, at the intersection of matter and consciousness. From this work emerged a progressive methodology of deep inner observation, whose results have been documented over the years in the form of reports, protocols and formulations.

Today, this work has found its direction: it serves exclusively the founder’s connected projects — the Sageocracy ecosystem, Irrinium and Web Harmonie. The Laboratory no longer intends to welcome new members or offer open sessions; it functions as an internal research workshop.

Methodology

The Laboratory’s approach rests on three essential foundations:

  • Inner clarity — a prerequisite for any exploration: without it, observation becomes laden with parasitic interpretations
  • Discernment — distinguishing what is perceived from what is imagined, what is lasting from what is transient
  • Integration into lived reality — any understanding gained must be able to take root in daily life; otherwise it remains speculative

The aim is not to accumulate experiences, but to understand their effects, resonances, and real bearing on one’s being, one’s relationship to the world, and one’s quality of presence. The Laboratory thus favours a sober approach to consciousness, attentive to observable dynamics, respectful of rhythms, and oriented towards unification rather than dispersion.

Inspiration

The Laboratory’s philosophical background finds part of its inspiration in the work of Sri Aurobindo and Mirra Alfassa, whose body of work constitutes one of the most rigorous explorations of the twentieth century into the transformation of individual and collective consciousness. This lineage is acknowledged without being imitated: the Laboratory is neither an Auroville centre nor a spiritual movement, but a practice of personal exploration that has allowed itself to be illuminated by this source among others.

Other sources have also nourished the approach: observation of contemplative traditions, reading in contemporary cognitive science, and above all — the simple, patient confrontation with experience itself.

Ethical stance

The Laboratory adopts a deliberately sober, responsible and non-directive stance:

  • No doctrine, no ideological affiliation, no relationship of dependence
  • No substitution for medical, psychological or legal support: in such situations, referral to an appropriate framework is always recommended
  • Absolute confidentiality of exchanges
  • Respect for free will in every interaction

The Laboratory’s legitimacy rests neither on a discourse nor on external recognition, but on the quality of the framework it offers and the accuracy of the effects observed over time.
